Come and join us for an evening of merryment, myrth and of course fantastic ale every Wednesday. We aim to start the quiz between nine and quarter past, and be done by just after ten, which means the workers amongst us can still get a reasonable finish…….or gives more drinking time, whichever your preference!

The quiz is a light hearted general knowledge mix, split into three rounds of ten questions, and we mark after each round and keep a tally running through the evening. The winning team gets a drink at the bar (if you’re really nice to the quiz master and there are four or less in your team).

But wait, there’s more!

All the entering teams are numbered, and at the end of the main quiz, the winning team draws a number out of a hat and the team drawn out gets to face THE JACKPOT QUESTION (queue – awe inspired gasps from the reader).

The jackpot prize can range from £10 to £100 depending on how long it is since it was last won!

After the quizical festivities have drawn to a close, a supper is laid on. But it’s not any supper. Oh no. In the past we’ve had a plethora of delicacies and old school favourites, and you never know what you’re getting until it is brought from the kitchen by the culinary captain!
